Butterfly in Brazil

Time to take a look at what’s going on with the Varsity. What started as a group that emphasized community and accountability has grown into one that is ready to pursue God in a more intimate way. Four weeks ago we had our first “infusion” meeting at 5p before Varsity Fusion started at 6p. We talked about PURSUING GOD and CHANGING THE WORLD! I’m a strong believer in big dreams, big visions, and big goals. I challenged the group to expand their ideas of the future beyond Cheyenne, beyond Wyoming, beyond the US. We listened to part of a podcast by Glenn Packiam that talks about “how your life can make a world of difference.” He talked about how the seemingly mundane things in life often have eternal impact. We decided that his book entitled Butterfly in Brazil would be a good place to start our pursuit of righteousness and eternal significance.
The past few weeks have been amazing as we have increased our depth both spiritually and relationally. It’s awesome to see life paths altered right in front of our eyes. Praise God for His faithfulness!

We’re starting to plan for summer! I can’t wait! We will definitely be doing some camping, mountain biking, hiking, climbing, bonfire-ing, and anything else we can think of as summer rolls in. We also have at least one major event planned… a trip to Colorado Springs for the Desperation conference, July 17-19. It will be an incredible opportunity to connect with God and to grow in our relationships with each other.
